The Pinot blanket is a luxurious, durable blanket for adventuring and homemaking, and everything in between. The Pinot is a deep cherry red like the famous Tasmanian wine. Because each blanket is made with offcuts reflecting the production run before it, they may vary slightly in colour and texture. This blanket is available with fringe or whipstitch finish.
Our eco-friendly blankets can be used as a throw for the couch and the bed, or taken outdoors and used as a picnic rug or camping blanket.
- Dimensions: 190cm x 152cm
- Material composition: 70% recycled merino wool, 30% blend of recycled alpaca, mohair and polyester
- Care instructions: Because this is a naturally antibacterial product, the easiest way to clean your blanket is to air it out by hanging it in the sun. Spot clean dirty marks and spills with lukewarm soapy water. If necessary, machine wash at maximum of 30ºC with a wool wash, then hang dry. Reducing machine washing extends your blanket’s life and reduces energy and water consumption.
- Country of manufacture: Tasmania, Australia
Seljak Brand was founded by two sisters who imagine a world without waste. We’re finding new ways of making and using beautiful things that are regenerative by design. We make recycled wool blankets using offcuts from the factory floor of Australia’s oldest woollen mill in Tasmania. The blankets are made in the same mill from 70% recycled Australian merino wool and a 30% blend of recycled alpaca, mohair and polyester for strength. Wool is a natural fibre that is incredibly hard to replicate – it’s a renewable resource, it’s odour- and stain-resistant, and has antibacterial properties. It is lightweight, breathable and insulating. After the blanket has enjoyed a long, adventurous life we’ll collect it free of charge using Sendle, a carbon-neutral courier service. Back at the mill, we’ll shred it and spin it into new yarn to make more blankets. This circular model allows us to divert waste from landfill and create a luxurious and useful blanket for you.
