Musée d'Orsay, Paris
Colours of Impressionism, showing at the Art Gallery of South Australia, traces the Impressionists' radical reshaping of 19th-century painting. Our collection below, inspired by the exhibition, includes iconic works by Monet, Renoir, Manet, Pissarro, Gauguin and Cézanne, all held at the Musee d'Orsay.
From the dark, brooding tones of Edouard Manet’s Spanish-influenced paintings, to Paul Cézanne’s rich greens and blues, and the rosy pigments of Auguste Renoir’s palette, our collection offers insight into some of the most notable works held by the museum.
